The Glastonbury William Blake Festival was a great success. For the fifth time in succession, I managed to back-engineer a book into manifestation for a conference, and this was the most satisfying example yet. The book-launch lecture, which was nearly 2 hours long, was filmed and is presented here.
I cover a lot of diverse material, including 18th century occult underground, the antiquarian vision, Gordon Riots and punk, Allen Ginsberg, Nicholas Roerich and Jose Arguelles, the Glastonbury Zodiac, Jerusalem as Shekhinah.
It was richly satisfying to engage with a lot of very talented people over the 3 days of the festival and help catalyze some great musical performances of Blake poetry and general recitations. A lot of the footage will be uploaded in the coming weeks.
It is hoped that we can come back for Part 2 next August, over the 3 days of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.
