Glastonbury Abbey William Blake Recitation

I began the Glastonbury William Blake Festival with an event in Glastonbury Abbey where I recited some strange words by the poet concerning King Arthur, who is, of course, supposedly buried there.

It felt like an interesting combination that has possibly never been done before. The intention was to provoke poetic mystical sensibilities rather than suggesting yet another theory about the historical Arthur. I am very happy with how it all went and the manner in which it served to open the portal to a remarkable three days.

Synchronicity Video Interview

I'm very happy with a half hour interview I recently did in Glastonbury's Library of Avalon on Synchronicity. Most of the material can be found in various books of mine and other video lectures and interviews but the format and timescale enabled me to be concise.

It is part of the latest edition of Matt Witt's Wake Up Screaming e zine. It's full of many contributions from other interesting people.

William Blake and the Glastonbury Gnosis video lecture

The Glastonbury William Blake Festival was a great success. For the fifth time in succession, I managed to back-engineer a book into manifestation for a conference, and this was the most satisfying example yet. The book-launch lecture, which was nearly 2 hours long, was filmed and is presented here.

I cover a lot of diverse material, including 18th century occult underground, the antiquarian vision, Gordon Riots and punk, Allen Ginsberg, Nicholas Roerich and Jose Arguelles, the Glastonbury Zodiac, Jerusalem as Shekhinah.

It was richly satisfying to engage with a lot of very talented people over the 3 days of the festival and help catalyze some great musical performances of Blake poetry and general recitations. A lot of the footage will be uploaded in the coming weeks.

It is hoped that we can come back for Part 2 next August, over the 3 days of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.

Glastonbury William Blake Festival

Between Wednesday August 8th to Friday August 10th 2018.

We are having a free-floating sixties-style Happening in Glastonbury in a few weeks time.

On the afternoon of Wed August 8th, starting at 13:00, there will be recitations of Blake poetry around the Market Cross area by some very diverse performers. Some may be singing. There will be musical accompaniment. There is still an option of getting involved and performing. Contact me here or on the Facebook event page. The only rule is that all words spoken must be those of Blake.

On the evening of August 9th, I will give a lecture presentation in the Town Hall on William Blake and the Glastonbury Gnosis that will also serve as a book launch. More details to follow, with special posting of Yuri Leitch cover art in a few days time.

Friday August 10th will see a musical evening in the King Arthur pub in Benedict St. Some quality musician performers will present remarkable renditions of Blake poetry. There will be a special acknowledgement of Allen Ginsberg.

Jack Parsons Rune Soup Interview

June 17th was the anniversary of the death of rocket scientist Jack Parsons whose life is the subject of the new TV series Strange Angel. I had the chance to record a Rune Soup interview about him with Gordon White on that day and it is a great pleasure to now be able to post it on the summer solstice.

I was very pleased to get a chance to talk with Gordon White again soon after my latest book was published.

We discuss its completion process which produced a number of powerful synchronicities and strange events indicative of the voltage running through the project.
